Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been on here in a while! I recently started a youtube channel and have been trying to get that up and running… AND LET ME TELL YOU!!! IT TAKES TIME!! Its a learning curve for me.
But anyways, I wanted to talk about Connors arthrogryposis and where he is at in terms of Physical therapy and occupational therapy. Connor is just over 10 months now and recently learned how to roll over onto his side. HE cant roll onto his tummy yet because his arms wont go up top support him. At our last physical therapy appt, our therapist told us that crawling isn’t something he will do.. not right now anyways. He will walk and scoot before he will crawl. So we are to work on his trunk muscles. He has been sitting on his own now for about a month. He still topples over sometimes but for the most part he can sit really well. He manages to play with his toys with his feet.
He is finding his own ways to play and do things. It is actually really cool to see. He attempts to lean forward when in his high chair to get food into his mouth, so I have tried to make is tray higher so his mouth can reach. He still can’t manage to do it without some assistance but he is at least trying, which is amazing. Out OT gave us some sensory boards for him to have his hands on, to try and encourage movement.

He still isn’t to sure how to use them, but maybe one day! We were suppose to head into Vancouver to see some doctors and go on a vacation, but since the new restrictions in British Columbia, our trip got cancelled and plus the one doc we were going to see, can’t see us after all and the other doctor we can have our appt over zoom. So that’s that.
Everyone we see and talk to jut love him. The one doc we had a zoom apt with said she needed to see Connor 10 minutes every day! LOL He is such a happy baby. Besides his teething currently. Oh! on that note, I plan on doing an amazon must haves, baby edition, video on youtube! Keep your eyes peeled for that video! I have so much stuff to show you! Anyways, that is all for now!
