My baby boy officially turned one. June 26 2021.
I am not ready for any of this… It feels like just yesterday, we were at the hospital and I was getting prepped for surgery. And here is my boy… ONE!! I cried.
We spent his birthday back in my hometown with my family, but before we left, we had a party here with friends and family. But to go back and reflect over the past year… I was once asked… “If you had to back and do it all over again, the surgery, nicu, trauma, etc.. would you?” IN A HEARTBEAT!!! The joy this boy has brought to our lives and the pleasure is has been to be his parents.. It was hard. One of the hardest things I have ever gone through. But looking back on it now, they are memories I will cherish forever.
We have been so blessed over the past year with our sweet boy and in memory of that, I will be inserting a link below sharing all about our time in the NICU.
